Job Description
As an Air Freight Coordinator at Toll Group, based at the airport in Lismore, you will be a vital link in our air freight operations. You will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of air cargo, from booking and documentation to tracking and customer communication. This role requires a meticulous individual with excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods for our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate air freight shipments from origin to destination.
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation, including air waybills, customs declarations, and shipping labels.
- Communicate proactively with airlines, customs brokers, warehouses, and clients regarding shipment status.
- Track and trace shipments, providing updates and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant international and domestic shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Manage client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize freight operations and processes.
- Handle freight booking and rate negotiations when required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in air freight operations or a similar logistics role.
- Strong understanding of air freight documentation and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and international trade compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Dangerous Goods certification.
- Experience with a major freight forwarding system.
- Ability to speak additional languages.
