Job Description
Join G4S Australia as a Security Monitoring Dispatcher and play a crucial role in our 24/7 operations centre in Tweed Heads. This full-time position requires a dedicated individual to monitor security systems, respond to alarms, and dispatch security personnel efficiently. You will be the central point of contact for emergency situations, ensuring timely and effective responses. This role involves working night shifts and requires you to hold a valid security license, demonstrating your commitment to professional security standards. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
- Respond promptly and effectively to security alarms and incidents.
- Dispatch mobile security patrols and emergency services as required.
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports of all activities and events.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, colleagues, and emergency personnel.
- Operate various communication systems including radios and telephones.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant security legislation.
Required Skills
- Current and valid Security Licence (Class 1F or equivalent in NSW).
- Proven ability to operate security monitoring software and systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and quick decision-making under pressure.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security control room or dispatch environment.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local geographical areas in Tweed Heads and surrounding regions.
- Experience with specific alarm monitoring software platforms.
