Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and meticulous Public Transport Cleaners to join our night-time team in Sapphire City. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of our trains and buses, contributing to a pleasant and safe travel experience for thousands of daily commuters. This is a full-time position requiring consistent night shifts to prepare our fleet for the next day’s service. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of train carriages and bus interiors, including seats, floors, windows, and surfaces.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish safely and responsibly.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms within transport vehicles, ensuring high standards of hygiene.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and pressure washers.
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitiser.
- Report any damage, maintenance issues, or safety hazards observed during cleaning shifts.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete cleaning tasks within designated timeframes.
Required Skills
- Ability to work night shifts consistently (typically 10 PM – 6 AM).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial or public transport cleaning.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to cleaning operations.
- Valid driver's license (desirable but not essential).
