Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Alice Springs. This on-site role is critical in supporting our project managers, ensuring the seamless execution of construction projects from inception through to completion. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be instrumental in coordinating resources, managing documentation, and facilitating communication among all project stakeholders, contributing directly to the success of impactful construction initiatives in the Northern Territory. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring and closing.
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, and information to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, track deliverables, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Prepare, manage, and maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports, and contracts.
- Facilitate effective communication channels between project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Provide support for financial administration, including budget tracking, processing invoices, and procurement activities.
- Organize and attend project meetings, accurately documenting minutes, action items, and ensuring follow-up.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination, with a strong preference for experience within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar tools).
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site construction environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A sound understanding of construction processes, terminology, and industry best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
- Prior experience working with local regulations, suppliers, and communities within the Northern Territory.
- Current First Aid certification.
