Job Description
Are you looking for a flexible role with immediate start in Ballarat? Coles is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Delivery Driver Assistants to join our team for casual day shifts. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are keen to work in a dynamic retail environment and contribute to our delivery service, even if you don’t have a driver’s license. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their orders efficiently and with a smile, working alongside our experienced drivers to provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Help navigate routes and ensure timely deliveries to customer homes or businesses.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, handling inquiries and ensuring satisfaction.
- Carefully handle customer orders, checking for accuracy and ensuring product integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organised delivery vehicle and work environment.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 20kg) regularly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders.
- Flexibility to work casual shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment.
- Familiarity with the Ballarat area and local roads.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
