Job Description

GrainCorp is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Grain Bin Sorters for casual seasonal work at our Wangaratta receival site. This role is crucial during the harvest season, ensuring the quality and efficient storage of grain. You will be a vital part of our operational team, contributing to the smooth flow of grain from farm to market. This physically demanding role requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety, offering ample opportunity for overtime hours during peak periods. Key Responsibilities

  • Sorting and classifying grain according to quality standards and company specifications.
  • Operating basic machinery and equipment, such as augers and conveyors, under supervision.
  • Performing general labouring duties within the grain receival site, including manual handling tasks.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
  • Adhering strictly to all safety protocols, procedures, and company policies to ensure personal and team safety.
  • Assisting with other operational tasks as required by site management to support peak season demands.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability are essential for seasonal work.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a fast-paced team environment.
