Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Silo Operator Assistants to join our team for regional seasonal work in Gosford, New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the agricultural industry, working alongside experienced operators in our grain receival and storage facilities. As a Silo Operator Assistant, you will play a key role in the efficient and safe handling of grain during peak harvest periods, supporting our operations to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the receiving, sampling, and classifying of grain from growers.
  • Operate grain handling equipment under supervision, including augers, conveyors, and front-end loaders.
  • Perform general site maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of facilities and equipment.
  • Monitor grain quality and storage conditions, reporting any issues.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including confined space entry and working at heights.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and records accurately.
  • Participate in site inductions and ongoing safety training.
  • Support the Silo Operator and other team members as required.

  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable transport to and from the worksite.

  • Previous experience in an outdoor, agricultural, or industrial environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience operating basic machinery or farm equipment.
  • First Aid certification.
