Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in the heavy industry, construction, or mining sectors? CIMIC Group is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our teams as Technical Offsiders. This is an incredible ‘learn on the job’ opportunity for those with little to no prior experience, offering comprehensive training and a clear pathway for career progression. As a Technical Offsider, you will play a crucial support role on our project sites, assisting experienced tradespeople and operators, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to a safe and productive work environment. If you’re physically fit, eager to learn, and committed to safety, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist tradespeople and operators with daily tasks and project requirements.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials around the worksite safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, including equipment and vehicles.
- Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Support team members in various operational activities as required.
- Learn and understand operational processes and equipment functionality.

Preferred Qualifications
- Current Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) or willingness to obtain one.

- Previous experience in a physically demanding role (e.g., labourer, factory worker).
