Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced E-commerce Operations Manager to lead and optimize the operational aspects of our national brand e-commerce platforms. This pivotal role involves overseeing the end-to-end customer journey from order placement to delivery, ensuring seamless execution, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency, managing vendor relationships, and implementing strategies to enhance our online retail performance. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of e-commerce logistics, supply chain management, and a proven track record in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the end-to-end e-commerce operational workflow, including order processing, fulfilment, shipping, and returns.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate stock levels across all online channels.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, couriers, and other vendors.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of e-commerce operations specialists.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with marketing, IT, and customer service teams to ensure cohesive e-commerce strategies.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in e-commerce operations or supply chain management.
- Proven track record of managing and optimizing online retail processes.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, order management systems, and logistics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, BI dashboards).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, E-commerce, or a related field.
- Experience with large-scale national retail operations.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile).
- Familiarity with Australian retail market trends and consumer behaviour.
