Job Description
We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals for the role of Crate Washer at our Maryborough facility. This is an immediate hire opportunity for simple factory work, ideal for those looking for a stable entry-level position. As a Crate Washer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high hygiene standards, ensuring all crates used in our processing operations are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary. We value punctuality, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial washing equipment to effectively clean and sanitize plastic and metal crates.
- Inspect cleaned crates for any residual debris or damage, reporting issues as necessary.
- Load and unload crates onto washing lines and into storage areas.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety (OH&S) procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the washing area.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to support the continuous flow of production.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and safety principles.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, or industrial cleaning role is a plus, but not essential.
- Familiarity with operating industrial cleaning machinery.
- A current OH&S General Construction Induction (White Card) is an advantage.
