Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency (000) and non-emergency calls with empathy and efficiency.
- Gather critical information from callers to assess the nature and severity of the emergency.
- Provide pre-arrival first aid instructions to callers, empowering them to assist patients until paramedics arrive.
- Accurately dispatch ambulance resources to incident locations using Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with paramedics, hospitals, and other emergency services.
- Document all call details and actions meticulously in accordance with QAS policies and procedures.
- Remain calm and professional while managing highly stressful and emotional situations.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and privacy protocols.
- Participate actively in ongoing training and professional development programs.
Required Skills
