Job Description

As a Virtual Project Coordinator (IT), you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of various IT projects across our diverse client portfolio. You will assist Project Managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects, ensuring they stay on track, within budget, and meet quality standards. Your excellent organizational skills, technical acumen, and ability to coordinate virtual teams will be key to your success in this 100% remote role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports, and records.
  • Facilitate virtual meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute minutes effectively.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of project-related documentation (e.g., requirement specifications, test plans).
  • Identify and resolve project issues and escalate to Project Managers as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proven working experience of at least 3 years as a Project Coordinator in an IT or technology-driven environment.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Exposure to various IT domains such as software development, infrastructure, or cloud services.
  • Experience working with global or distributed teams.
