Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wedding Planner to join our boutique team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the luxury wedding market, exceptional organizational abilities, and a proven track record of orchestrating flawless, personalized events from conception to execution. This role requires a creative visionary with strong communication skills, a keen eye for design, and the ability to manage multiple projects with grace and precision. You will be responsible for guiding clients through every step of their wedding journey, ensuring a seamless and joyous experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial consultations with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget for their special day.
- Develop detailed wedding proposals, timelines, and budgets, managing all financial aspects efficiently.
- Source, negotiate with, and manage a curated selection of high-end vendors including venues, caterers, florists, photographers, and entertainment.
- Design and execute cohesive wedding aesthetics, collaborating with clients on themes, colour palettes, and decor elements.
- Oversee all logistical aspects, including guest list management, seating arrangements, transportation, and accommodation.
- Manage client communication effectively, providing regular updates and guidance throughout the planning process.
- Coordinate and supervise the wedding day, ensuring all elements run smoothly and according to plan.
- Handle unexpected issues with professionalism and problem-solving expertise.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of wedding trends, industry best practices, and local vendor offerings.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Emkho's services and client experience.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in wedding planning, preferably within a boutique or luxury events setting.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficiency in budget management and vendor negotiation.
- Strong aesthetic sense and creative vision for event design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with event management software and CRM systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field.
- Certification from a recognized wedding planning association (e.g., WPIC, IWPP).
- Extensive network of high-quality local wedding vendors in South Australia.
- Experience with destination weddings or multi-day events.
