Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to kickstart your career in the construction industry? Multiplex is urgently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Demolition Hands to join our growing team on the Gold Coast. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals with no prior experience who are eager to learn and contribute to significant demolition projects. You will work under experienced supervisors, gaining hands-on experience in various demolition techniques, site preparation, and safety protocols. We offer comprehensive training and a supportive environment to help you develop valuable skills and grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled demolition operators and supervisors in site preparation and demolition tasks.
- Safely operate hand tools and basic power tools used in demolition.
- Perform manual labour tasks such as debris removal, sorting materials, and general site clean-up.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Learn and adhere to site-specific rules and regulations.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Excellent team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to safety on the job site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid White Card (General Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain one prior to starting.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety (will be trained).
- Manual driver's license (advantageous).
