Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Day Shift Ushers on a casual basis at our Wangaratta location. As an Usher, you will be the face of Village Cinemas, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and delightful movie-going experience. This role is perfect for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patrons with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Scan tickets and guide guests to their designated cinema and seats.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the cinema auditoriums, lobbies, and restrooms before, during, and after screenings.
- Assist guests with inquiries, provide directions, and resolve minor issues promptly and courteously.
- Monitor cinema screens and sound levels to ensure optimal viewing experience.
- Enforce cinema policies and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for all patrons.
- Prepare auditoriums for the next showing, including light cleaning and seat checks.
- Collaborate with the cinema team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a positive and helpful attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, or entertainment role.
- Basic knowledge of cinema operations or a passion for film.
- Current First Aid certification.
