Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as Non-Ongoing Admin Support. This is a short-term government contract position, crucial for providing essential administrative services and ensuring the smooth operation of key departmental projects. Based in our Brisbane City office, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team, contributing to important government initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate diaries, appointments, and meeting schedules for team members.
  • Prepare, format, and review various documents, presentations, and reports with accuracy.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, mail, and phone calls, efficiently and professionally.
  • Maintain and update accurate filing systems, both physical and digital, ensuring data integrity and easy retrieval.
  • Assist with data entry and management of departmental databases.
  • Provide reception duties and general administrative assistance as required.
  • Organize travel arrangements, accommodation, and logistics for staff.
  • Support project teams with administrative tasks, tracking deadlines, and coordinating resources.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated discretion and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in an administrative support role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within a government or public sector environment.
  • Familiarity with specific government IT systems or document management platforms.
  • Completion of a Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or a related field.
