Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Pharmacist to join our innovative pharmaceutical research and development team in Busselton. In this critical role, you will contribute to the design, execution, and analysis of pharmaceutical research studies, ensuring the highest standards of scientific integrity and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive pharmaceutical knowledge to advance new drug discovery and development projects, playing a pivotal role in bringing life-changing medicines to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement pharmaceutical research protocols, ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate research studies, including patient recruitment, data collection, and sample handling.
  • Perform complex data analysis, interpret findings, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists, clinicians, and regulatory affairs specialists to achieve project milestones.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all research activities and ensure data integrity.
  • Contribute to grant writing and scientific publications.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in pharmaceutical research and regulatory landscapes.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration as a Pharmacist in Australia.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical research, clinical trials, or a related scientific field.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and drug metabolism.
  • Proficiency in research methodology, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in scientific writing and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Proficiency with statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS).
