Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Home Helper to join our team in Mount Gambier. This part-time role focuses on providing essential light housework and support during day shifts, helping our clients maintain a clean, organised, and comfortable living environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform light household cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and cleaning surfaces.
- Assist with laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothes.
- Undertake light meal preparation and kitchen tidying.
- Run occasional errands, such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions.
- Organise and tidy living spaces to ensure a comfortable and accessible home environment.
- Report any concerns or changes in client's condition to the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Proven reliability and punctuality.
- Trustworthy and able to maintain client confidentiality.
- Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in tasks.
- Good communication skills, with a patient and friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical capability to perform light household duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, cleaning, or a similar support role.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
