Job Description
Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Part-time Nut Harvester. This entry-level position offers comprehensive training and operates on a flexible day roster, perfect for those looking for part-time work in a dynamic agricultural environment. You will be responsible for assisting with the harvest of pistachios and almonds, operating light machinery, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of the harvest process. This is an on-site role within our orchards in Fresno, CA. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided to all successful candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the operation of harvesting machinery, following safety protocols.
- Monitor harvest quality, ensuring nuts are collected efficiently and with minimal damage.
- Perform general labor tasks related to nut harvesting, including debris removal and setup/teardown.
- Work cooperatively with the harvesting team to meet daily production targets.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and food safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the orchards.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures or willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agriculture or outdoor manual labor is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with farm equipment (training will be provided for specific machinery).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
