Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Tomato Pickers to join our team in a state-of-the-art greenhouse environment. This ongoing full-time position involves the careful harvesting of tomatoes, ensuring quality, and assisting with general greenhouse tasks to maintain optimal growing conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pick ripe tomatoes from plants in a greenhouse setting.
- Inspect tomatoes for quality, size, and ripeness, adhering to company standards.
- Pack picked tomatoes into designated crates or containers.
- Assist with general plant care, including pruning, de-leafing, and tying plants.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the greenhouse.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
- Report any plant health issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Physical fitness to stand, bend, lift (up to 15kg), and carry for extended periods.
- Ability to work effectively in a warm and humid greenhouse environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in horticulture or agricultural settings, particularly greenhouse work.
- Familiarity with fresh produce handling and quality control.
- Basic understanding of plant care.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
