Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Festival Event Crew for casual summer work in Coffs Harbour. This is an immediate hire opportunity perfect for those looking for dynamic, hands-on experience in the vibrant world of live events. As part of our crew, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of various summer festivals and events. No prior experience is required; we’re looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and contribute to a fantastic team environment. This role offers flexible hours and the chance to be at the heart of some of the most exciting events in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including staging, seating, signage, and vendor areas.
- Provide clear and helpful directions to festival-goers and manage crowd flow.
- Monitor event areas to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Support logistics, including equipment handling and supply management.
- Work collaboratively with other crew members, staff, and volunteers.
- Be proactive in identifying and resolving minor issues quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized event site throughout the event.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move equipment (up to 20kg).
- Problem-solving attitude and ability to follow instructions.
- Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and evenings during summer.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in event support, hospitality, or customer service (advantageous but not required).
- First Aid certification (desirable).
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate (if applicable to specific roles).
- Full driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- A genuine passion for live music, festivals, and creating memorable experiences.
