Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and physically fit Scaffolder’s Assistant to join our team in Kwinana, Western Australia. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the scaffolding trade, working on high-access projects within industrial environments. You will work alongside experienced scaffolders, learning vital skills and contributing to the safe and efficient erection and dismantling of scaffolding structures. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals eager to start a career in construction, offering good premiums for your dedication and willingness to work at heights. Safety is our top priority, and comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified scaffolders in the safe erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolding structures.
  • Transport scaffolding components (tubes, fittings, boards) to and from work areas.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work site, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Learn and strictly adhere to all company safety procedures, industry standards, and site-specific regulations.
  • Inspect scaffolding components for damage or defects prior to use.
  • Work confidently and safely at various heights.
  • Follow instructions from leading hands and supervisors accurately.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety and following procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Current White Card (Construction Induction Card) essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a labouring or industrial environment.
  • High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) for Working at Heights or basic scaffolding (SB) is highly regarded but not essential.
  • First Aid certification.
