Job Description
Are you passionate about the startup ecosystem and eager to make a tangible impact on the journeys of aspiring founders? Stone & Chalk is seeking a dynamic and empathetic Founder Support Specialist to join our Fremantle team. In this pivotal role, you will be the frontline support for our resident startups, guiding them through various operational, logistical, and community-related challenges. You will facilitate connections, provide critical resources, and ensure a seamless experience for founders as they build and scale their ventures within our vibrant innovation hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated operational and administrative support to resident founders and their teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day inquiries, problem-solving, and resource navigation.
- Facilitate connections between founders and mentors, investors, corporate partners, and service providers.
- Organise and coordinate workshops, events, and networking sessions to foster community engagement.
- Assist with onboarding new startups, ensuring they are integrated smoothly into the Stone & Chalk ecosystem.
- Gather feedback from founders to continuously improve support programs and services.
- Maintain accurate records of founder interactions, progress, and resource utilization.
- Identify common challenges faced by startups and proactively develop solutions or resources.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and common office productivity tools (e.g., G Suite, Microsoft Office).
- Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to support.
- Demonstrated empathy and a genuine passion for supporting entrepreneurs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Understanding of the startup lifecycle and common challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a client-facing support role, preferably within a tech, startup, or community management environment.
- Familiarity with the Western Australian startup ecosystem.
- Experience with event planning and coordination.
- Knowledge of entrepreneurship methodologies (e.g., Lean Startup).
