Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and physically fit Timber Stackers to join our Toowoomba team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are looking for a role that keeps them active. As a Timber Stacker, you will be responsible for the manual handling and stacking of various timber products, ensuring they are stored correctly and safely. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually stack and sort timber products according to company standards and specifications.
- Ensure timber is stacked safely and efficiently to prevent damage and optimize storage space.
- Assist with general yard duties and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all workplace health and safety procedures and guidelines.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment as required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy timber consistently throughout the day.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manual labor, manufacturing, or outdoor role is a plus, but not essential.
- Basic understanding of timber products or materials handling.
- Current Australian White Card (General Construction Induction Card).
- Forklift license (LF class) is advantageous but not required for this specific role.
