Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Deli Assistant to join our team at Coles in Bakewell. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring our deli section operates smoothly, offering high-quality products and exceptional service to our valued customers. You will handle fresh produce, prepared foods, and engage directly with customers, maintaining a clean and inviting shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve customers promptly and courteously at the deli counter.
- Slice and prepare a variety of deli meats, cheeses, and other products according to customer requests and company standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the deli counter, equipment, and preparation areas.
- Monitor stock levels, rotate products, and replenish displays to ensure freshness and availability.
- Operate deli equipment safely and efficiently, including slicers, scales, and ovens.
- Handle cash and process payments accurately.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with stock receipt, storage, and inventory management.
- Provide product information and recommendations to customers.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve daily goals.
