Job Description
Join Pacific Boating as a Part-time Marina Support Staff member. This outdoors-focused role is perfect for individuals who love being on the water and enjoy physical work in a dynamic environment. Based in Blacktown, this role will involve travel to our various marina locations across Sydney Harbour and surrounding waterways to support our fleet operations. You will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of our fleet, ensuring boats are clean, well-maintained, and ready for member use. This is a part-time position with a flexible day roster, ideal for someone looking for engaging work with a great team and the opportunity to be outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily boat checks, including fluid levels, safety equipment, and general condition.
- Execute thorough cleaning and detailing of vessels, both interior and exterior.
- Assist members with embarkation and disembarkation, providing excellent customer service.
- Manage fuel and water replenishment for the fleet.
- Report any maintenance issues or damage to the operations team promptly.
- Assist with minor repairs and routine maintenance tasks as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of marina facilities and equipment storage areas.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Support the logistics of moving boats between berths or service areas.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to lift up to 20kg.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid Australian driver's license and reliable transportation to various Sydney locations.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a marine, hospitality, or outdoor services role.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current recreational boat license (General Purpose Hand or Coxswain highly regarded).
- Familiarity with Sydney waterways and boating regulations.
