Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paid IT Intern with a focus on Software Testing and Quality Assurance to join our dynamic development team in Brisbane. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced software development environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to the quality and reliability of our enterprise solutions, learning best practices in QA, and helping us deliver robust software to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of test plans and test cases for various software applications.
- Perform manual and automated testing of software features and functionalities.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using our issue tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with developers to understand new features and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Participate actively in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other team meetings.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Learn and apply various testing techniques, tools, and quality assurance principles under guidance.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in software quality assurance and testing principles.
- Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail).
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) is a plus.
- Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python, C#, Java) for scripting or automation tasks.
- Understanding of agile development methodologies and practices.
