Job Description
We are seeking motivated and reliable Production Labourers to join our fast-paced manufacturing team in Werribee. This is an urgent hire with an immediate start available for the right candidates. As a Production Labourer, you will play a crucial role in our production line, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of various processes. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in a manufacturing environment and contribute to the creation of essential food products. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate basic production machinery and equipment under supervision.
- Load and unload materials and finished products from production lines.
- Monitor production processes and report any issues or defects to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all hygiene and safety standards.
- Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting, moving, and stacking products.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and quality checks of goods.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production targets.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and occupational health and safety.
Required Skills
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to punctuality and attendance.
- Physical fitness and capability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting up to 15-20kg.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for recording production data.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment (desirable but not essential).
- Familiarity with HACCP or other food safety standards (advantageous).
- Current forklift license (LF or LO) highly regarded.
