Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Pop-up Shop Assistant to join our team for a short-term, part-time engagement in our exciting new pop-up location in Norwood. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on retail experience in a vibrant environment, supporting the daily operations of our temporary retail space. You will be instrumental in creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers, assisting with sales, merchandising, and maintaining the shop’s appearance. This is a day roster position, perfect for someone looking for flexible hours and a temporary role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service, assisting shoppers with product inquiries and purchases.
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Maintain an attractive and organized pop-up shop floor, including merchandising, restocking, and cleaning.
- Assist with the setup and pack-down of the pop-up shop.
- Achieve daily sales targets and promote special offers.
- Handle customer feedback and returns with professionalism.
- Support inventory management, including receiving and organizing stock.
Required Skills
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to work schedules.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move merchandise (up to 15 kg).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail or customer service roles (e.g., 6 months).
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Passion for fashion and retail trends.
