Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Rural Store Assistant to join our team in Mildura. This ongoing full-time role is perfect for someone passionate about agriculture and eager to provide exceptional service to our farming community. You will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring our customers find the supplies and support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting customers with product inquiries, sales, and loading.
- Maintaining an organised and well-stocked store environment.
- Processing sales transactions and handling cash/card payments accurately.
- Receiving, unpacking, and merchandising new stock.
- Providing advice on a range of farming supplies and solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety and operational procedures.
- Contributing to a positive team environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a retail environment.
- Basic computer literacy for POS systems.
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy items.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail or a rural setting.
- Knowledge of agricultural products, farming practices, or animal husbandry.
- Forklift license (LF class).
