Job Description
Are you passionate about the environment and eager to make a tangible impact in your community? Cleanaway is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a Recycling Project Intern focused on Environmental Education in Alice Springs. This role is perfect for a proactive individual looking to gain hands-on experience in environmental program development, community engagement, and sustainable waste management practices. You will support our local team in creating and delivering educational initiatives that promote responsible recycling and waste reduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the research, development, and implementation of educational materials and campaigns for recycling and waste management initiatives.
- Support the coordination and execution of community outreach events, workshops, and presentations to raise awareness about environmental best practices.
- Gather and analyze data related to recycling rates, community participation, and educational program effectiveness.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations on project progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance environmental education efforts in Alice Springs.
- Conduct site visits and participate in operational reviews related to recycling facilities and processes.
