Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organised Charity Commission Admin to join our team in Devonport. This vital role supports our compliance and regulatory affairs department, ensuring adherence to non-profit regulations and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will be instrumental in processing documentation, assisting with audits, and providing administrative support related to our charity status and operational guidelines. You will work closely with various departments to ensure all activities align with both internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory reports and documentation to relevant charity commissions and government bodies.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all compliance-related activities, licenses, and registrations.
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes, gathering necessary documentation and information.
- Provide administrative support to the regulatory affairs team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and filing.
- Monitor changes in non-profit legislation and regulatory guidelines, reporting potential impacts to the team.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding charity compliance and regulatory matters.
- Support the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory adherence.
Required Skills
- Proven administrative experience, preferably in a regulatory or compliance-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of non-profit sector operations and regulatory frameworks in Australia.
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Law, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) or similar regulatory bodies.
- Experience in data management systems and database administration.
