Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Bar Staff for casual night shifts at The Precinct Bar & Restaurant. This role is perfect for individuals with a valid RSA who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for serving a wide range of beverages, maintaining bar cleanliness, and ensuring all patrons have an enjoyable and safe experience. Flexibility for evening and weekend shifts is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly and efficiently.
- Process payments using POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organised bar area, including glassware, countertops, and equipment.
- Restock bar inventory and manage stock rotation.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and making recommendations.
- Adhere to all RSA regulations and venue policies.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as required.
- Resolve minor customer complaints or escalate to management when necessary.
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.
Required Skills
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate for Victoria.
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality setting (minimum 6 months).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work evening and weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with POS systems (e.g., Kounta, Square).
- Basic cocktail knowledge and preparation skills.
- Food handling certificate (not mandatory, but a bonus).
