Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with domestic tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Support clients with medication reminders and appointments.
- Accompany clients on outings, errands, and social activities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or well-being.
- Adhere to care plans and Australian Unity policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Genuine desire to help and care for others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid Australian Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to undertake and pass a National Police Check and Working With Children Check (if applicable).
- Ability to commit to paid training sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Previous experience in a care-giving role (voluntary or paid).
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or working towards).
