Job Description
Buller Ski Lifts is seeking enthusiastic and highly skilled Certified Ski Instructors for the upcoming winter season. If you are passionate about snow sports, dedicated to teaching, and thrive in a vibrant alpine environment, we invite you to apply. This seasonal role involves providing high-quality ski instruction to guests of all ages and abilities, ensuring a safe, fun, and educational experience on the slopes of Mount Buller.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective ski lessons to individuals and groups, catering to diverse skill levels.
- Prioritize student safety by adhering to all resort and industry safety standards.
- Assess student abilities and tailor instruction to promote skill development and confidence.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Buller Ski Lifts.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required.
- Assist with ski school operations, including lesson registration and equipment setup, when needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to all resort guests.
Required Skills
- Valid Ski Instructor certification (e.g., APSI Level 1 or higher, PSIA, CSIA, BASI equivalent)
- Demonstrated strong skiing ability and technical knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine passion for teaching and snow sports
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications
- Higher-level ski instructor certifications (e.g., APSI Level 2 or 3)
- Experience teaching adaptive skiing or other specialized programs
- Fluency in additional languages
- Prior experience working in an alpine resort environment
