Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and physically fit individuals to join our team as an Export Meat Packer. This ongoing full-time position in Esperance offers high hourly rates for reliable candidates committed to quality and safety. As an Export Meat Packer, you will play a crucial role in the final stages of preparing our premium meat products for international shipment, ensuring they meet strict export quality and packaging standards. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and adherence to all food safety and hygiene protocols. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in all aspects of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various packing tasks for meat products destined for export markets.
- Operate packaging machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all packed products meet specified quality, weight, and labeling standards.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain production targets and schedules.
- Conduct quality checks on products and packaging materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including WHS guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good physical fitness and ability to lift and move packages up to 25kg.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a meat processing, packing, or factory environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (e.g., HACCP).
- Forklift license (though not essential for all roles, can be an advantage).
