Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to join our team in Tully. This crucial role involves managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring the efficient flow of goods, and supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, be comfortable with shift work, and possess a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position is strictly an inventory management role and does not involve phone calls to external parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Process incoming and outgoing inventory, including receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping.
  • Maintain precise inventory records using our warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Generate regular inventory reports and provide insights to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Assist with warehouse organisation and cleanliness to maintain an efficient workspace.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimise inventory flow and storage.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Reliable and able to commit to various shift schedules (days, nights, weekends as required).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with forklift operation (valid license preferred, but not essential).
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
  • Previous experience in a logistics or agricultural industry setting.
