Job Description

Join Arbor Centre’s dynamic team as a Tree Ground Crew member in Mandurah. This part-time role involves physical work assisting our arborists with tree removal, pruning, and maintenance operations. You will be responsible for ground support, site preparation, clean-up, and handling equipment. Ideal candidates are physically fit, safety-conscious, and enjoy working outdoors as part of a dedicated team. This is a day roster position offering consistent part-time hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist arborists with tree felling, pruning, and removal operations.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely.
  • Manage rigging and ropes for tree work.
  • Perform site preparation and clean-up, including chipping brush and stacking logs.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work vehicle and equipment.
  • Assist with traffic control and site safety as required.

Required Skills

  • Excellent physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous manual labour.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in outdoor work environments.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in landscaping, arboriculture, or construction.
  • Valid Driver's License (manual transmission preferred).
  • Chainsaw competency certificate (e.g., AHCMOM213 Operate and maintain chainsaws).
  • First Aid certification.
  • White Card (Construction Induction Card).
