Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Interior Stylist to join our dynamic property styling firm. The successful candidate will be instrumental in transforming properties into aspirational homes, enhancing their market appeal, and ultimately helping our clients achieve premium prices. This role involves everything from initial consultation and concept development to hands-on styling and de-staging. You will work closely with our sales agents and clients, bringing a keen eye for design, a strong understanding of current trends, and a practical approach to property presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial property consultations to assess styling needs and develop tailored design concepts.
- Curate furniture, artwork, accessories, and soft furnishings to create cohesive and appealing interiors.
- Execute on-site styling, including furniture placement, art hanging, and arrangement of decorative items.
- Manage inventory and ensure all styling items are well-maintained and accounted for.
- Collaborate with photographers to capture styled properties effectively for marketing materials.
- Coordinate logistics for delivery and collection of styling inventory.
- De-stage properties efficiently post-sale, ensuring all items are returned to inventory.
- Stay abreast of interior design trends, market demands, and competitor activities.
- Maintain high standards of client communication and service.
- Provide advice to clients on property presentation prior to styling.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in interior styling, visual merchandising, or a related design field.
- Proven portfolio demonstrating a strong aesthetic sense and ability to style diverse properties.
- Excellent knowledge of current interior design trends and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in space planning and furniture arrangement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Valid Australian driver's license and own reliable transport.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Interior Design, Styling, or a related creative discipline.
- Experience working within a real estate styling context.
- Familiarity with the Launceston and Tasmanian property market.
- Basic knowledge of photography for pre-styling assessment.
