Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Street Maintenance Hand to join our civil projects team in Carnarvon, Western Australia. This is a crucial role responsible for the upkeep and repair of local roads, footpaths, and associated civil infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance of roads, footpaths, and verges.
  • Undertake pothole repairs, crack sealing, and minor asphalt patching.
  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of road signage and line marking.
  • Clear drains, culverts, and other stormwater infrastructure.
  • Operate various hand tools and light machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere strictly to all WHS policies and procedures on site.
  • Participate in emergency response as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in road maintenance or civil construction.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations.
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Current Australian C-Class Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • White Card (Construction Induction Card).
  • Experience operating civil plant and equipment (e.g., skid steer, roller, excavator).
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Heavy Rigid (HR) or Medium Rigid (MR) truck license.
