Job Description
Join Cleanaway’s dedicated team in Rockingham as a Skip Bin Sorter. This role is vital to our recycling operations, involving the manual sorting of materials from skip bins to ensure correct separation for processing and resource recovery. We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented individual who is committed to safety and environmental best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Manually sort a variety of waste materials from skip bins on a conveyor belt or designated sorting area.
- Identify and separate different material types including plastics, metals, paper, cardboard, timber, and general waste.
- Ensure materials are sorted according to established company procedures and quality standards.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organised sorting area.
- Assist with other general site duties as required to support smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 20kg safely.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate material identification.
- Commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a waste management, recycling, or factory environment.
