Job Description
Cleanaway is seeking dedicated and physically fit individuals to join our team as a Skip Bin Sorter at our Osborne Park facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is committed to contributing to environmental sustainability. As a Skip Bin Sorter, you will play a crucial role in our waste processing operations, ensuring materials are sorted efficiently and safely. This is an on-site, full-time position offering weekly pay.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually sort various materials from skip bins and conveyor belts, identifying recyclable items and general waste.
- Operate basic sorting equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including general housekeeping duties.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational matters.
- Assist with other general yard duties as required to support site operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Comfortable working in an outdoor, all-weather environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar waste sorting, labouring, or outdoor manual handling role.
- Knowledge of different waste streams and recycling processes.
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
