Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Site Cleaner to join our construction team in Bunbury. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in the construction industry. No prior experience is required, and we are prepared to assist successful candidates in obtaining their White Card (required for all construction site workers). You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness across various construction sites, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties on construction sites, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Remove and dispose of construction debris, rubbish, and waste materials safely and efficiently.
- Clean and maintain site offices, lunchrooms, amenities, and common areas.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are performed in accordance with site safety regulations and standards.
- Assist with the setup and pack-down of site facilities as required.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the site supervisor.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Contribute to a positive and safe working culture on site.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety (or willingness to learn).
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to obtain a White Card (Construction Induction Card) – we can assist with this.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or labouring role (not essential).
- Current C-class driver's license and reliable transport.
- Understanding of basic construction site operations.
