Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and impeccably presented Concierge Service Assistant to join our esteemed team at Sofitel Brisbane Central. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our discerning guests, providing exceptional personalized service and ensuring their stay is seamless and memorable. This role requires flexibility for shift work, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to meet the 24/7 demands of a luxury property. You will anticipate guest needs, offer expert local recommendations, and facilitate requests with the highest degree of professionalism and discretion. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests and visitors, providing a memorable first impression.
- Assist guests with luggage, transportation arrangements, and valet services.
- Provide accurate and insightful information about hotel services, local attractions, dining, and events.
- Handle guest requests and inquiries promptly and efficiently, anticipating needs whenever possible.
- Coordinate with various hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Brisbane and surrounding areas, offering personalized recommendations.
- Manage reservations for restaurants, tours, and entertainment, securing premium access when required.
- Handle incoming calls and correspondence with professionalism and a polite demeanor.
- Ensure the lobby and concierge desk areas are immaculate and well-organized at all times.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, safety procedures, and luxury service standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a luxury environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
- A strong understanding of luxury service standards and guest expectations.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Impeccable personal presentation and a professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and hotel management systems (e.g., Opera PMS).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, French).
- Previous experience as a Concierge or Guest Relations Agent in a 5-star hotel.
- Extensive knowledge of Brisbane's cultural landscape, dining scene, and tourist attractions.
- Valid driver's license and experience with valet parking (an advantage).
