Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Scrap Metal Handlers in Ipswich. This is an immediate start position offering top pay for dedicated workers. As a Scrap Metal Handler, you will be crucial in processing, sorting, and preparing various types of scrap metal for recycling. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided, but a strong work ethic and commitment to safety are essential. This is a physically demanding role in an outdoor environment, requiring good stamina and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing scrap metal materials.
  • Sort and separate different types of metals (ferrous and non-ferrous) according to company standards.
  • Operate processing equipment, such as shears, balers, and forklifts (training provided if needed).
  • Inspect materials for quality and ensure proper segregation.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with general yard duties as required.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet operational targets.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications
