Job Description

Hilton Hotels & Resorts in Elizabeth is seeking a dedicated Public Area Cleaner to join our vibrant team. We offer full training from day one, equipping you with all the skills needed to excel in this essential role. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of all public areas within our hotel, contributing directly to our guests’ comfort and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and restrooms.
- Clean and polish fixtures, furniture, and all surfaces according to Hilton's high standards.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and empty trash receptacles.
- Replenish supplies in public restrooms and other designated areas.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Interact with guests and team members in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to tasks.
- Good physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Basic communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
