Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a career in painting and property maintenance? Programmed Property Services is seeking a motivated and eager Painter’s Assistant to join our team in Port Adelaide. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn the trade from experienced professionals. You’ll be responsible for preparing work sites, assisting painters with various tasks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. While prior experience is not required, a commitment to high-quality work and a positive attitude are essential. Learn valuable skills and contribute to enhancing properties across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare work areas by masking, covering surfaces, and moving furniture.
- Clean and sand surfaces, remove old paint, and perform minor repairs to ensure proper adhesion.
- Assist experienced painters with mixing paints, carrying supplies, and setting up equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work site, including proper disposal of waste materials.
- Clean tools and equipment after use.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Learn and apply new painting techniques and best practices under supervision.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
