Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior network engineers in the configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of network devices, primarily Cisco routers and switches.
- Participate in the monitoring and analysis of network performance, identifying areas for improvement and potential issues.
- Learn and apply routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP under supervision.
- Contribute to documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Support the resolution of network-related incidents and service requests.
- Shadow and learn from experienced engineers, actively participating in team meetings and project discussions.
- Assist with network upgrades and infrastructure maintenance tasks.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model).
- Familiarity with Cisco IOS command-line interface.
- Knowledge of routing and switching fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed CCNA certification.
- Experience with network simulation tools (e.g., Packet Tracer, GNS3).
- Basic understanding of network security principles.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
