Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Fodder Factory Hand to join our animal feed production team in Ballina, County Mayo. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our facility, involving various tasks related to the manufacturing, processing, and packaging of high-quality animal feed products. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machinery used in the production of animal feed, including mixers, grinders, and packaging equipment.
- Load raw materials onto conveyor belts or into hoppers.
- Assist with the mixing and blending of ingredients according to production recipes.
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products.
- Package, label, and stack finished feed products for storage or dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to a supervisor.
- Perform general labouring duties as required to support factory operations.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and dispatching goods.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and carrying heavy bags/items.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a factory, agricultural, or production environment.
