Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Flight Instructor for professional training programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality flight and ground instruction to students pursuing various pilot certifications, including Private Pilot, Commercial Pilot, and Instrument Ratings. This role requires a passion for aviation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards. You will play a crucial role in developing competent and confident pilots, adhering to CASA regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct flight instruction for various ratings and endorsements.
- Provide comprehensive ground instruction and briefings to students.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and logbooks.
- Ensure adherence to CASA regulations and company standard operating procedures.
- Participate in curriculum development and improvement initiatives.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks of aircraft.
- Promote a positive and safe learning environment.
- Assist with student recruitment and outreach events.
Required Skills
- Current CASA Flight Instructor Rating (FIR) Grade 1 or 2.
- CASA Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
- Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate.
- Minimum of 200 hours flight instruction experience.
- Strong knowledge of CASA regulations and aviation safety standards.
- Excellent instructional and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Proficiency in various aircraft types relevant to training programs.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-Engine Instructor Rating.
- Instrument Rating Instructor endorsement.
- Experience with modern glass cockpit avionics.
- Previous experience in a professional flight training organization.
- Tertiary qualification in aviation or a related field.
